Below is a wonderful and detailed Description of Harro, from his owner ;

About Harro-  He is what his pedigree says he should be  Hard, tough,
civil & all around high drive dog.  Very self confident dog with perfect
nerves-environmental & drive containment, clear headed (I have worked him
in protection, walked off the field, & had a young child all over him), &
balanced dog with full crushing grips.  He has very high level sport work &
great civil also.  Tons of hunt drive. Very discerning & never

inappropriate behavior. Will accept attention from strangers, but properly
aloof-he is all about his handler.  His protection is old style protection
of the handler.  Loves to work but will settle in the house/when not
working. He is possessive of his toys & such. No handler or dog aggression.
Very healthy-still going strong at 10.5 years.  Ofa'd at 9 yr-hips fair,
elbows normal.  Spine xrayed at the same time & clear.  No arthritis
anywhere.  DM clear.

Harro's pedigree is very old working lines not seen this close anymore.
Harro's sire lines are almost completely actual working dogs (border
patrol, police, railway police, etc).  They are known for producing hard,
tough, fast maturing dogs that love protection & tracking-some could have
the attitude that the handler is optional.  His sire also produced several
offspring that competed at a national & international level.
I have gotten to meet 2 other Quint sons & own another bitch whose dam was
a Quint daughter- things they have all had in common include that they have
great nerves, lots of self confidence, & are level headed & discerning
dogs.  I did not see all phases of work from the 2 sons, but my bitch is
much like Harro-very high drive, balanced, clear headed, perfect nerves,
super sport work but also very civil, outstanding hunt/tracking, accepting
of attention from strangers but aloof & also all about me, loves to work &
settles inside.

Harro's dam was a ZVV3 bitch-very few dogs achieve this title & even fewer
bitches.  Her sire comes from lines that are known for producing good civil
working dogs with high hunt drive that are very good looking dogs/good
conformation-I have bred to thses lines & got super pets/family protection,
dogs titled in schutzhund & obedience (Canada), & ceritified SAR & dual
purpose dogs.  Her dam is old showlines that were known for producing good
nerves & good working abilities.  They are prior to the showlines becoming
overly saturated with to much Canto & Quanto.

I have had 2 litters out of him so far-they are 14 & 7 months, so still
young.  Some consistancies I have seen-not a single one (of 14 pups) has
shown much interest in a ball at 7 weeks but it comes later.  So far almost
every puppy has ended up med to high ball drive (there is one from the
second litter I haven't seen in a couple of months the owners say is low
ball drive).  Good nerves.  All that have been started in tracking show
tremendous natural tracking/trailing talent & hunt drive (though their dams
also contribute to this).  They are aloof to strangers young & bond very
tightly with their owners --one thing to note, these are not dogs that will
do well in a kennel or just stuck in the back yard & they will never reach
their full potential if kept that way-they need to bond with their owners
to do the best protection & obedience they can do; they are not like some
of the simple minded/mostly drive(prey) based sport dogs of today.  They
all have a nice degree of handler hardness (ie no overly handler sensitive
dogs) with biddability.  His puppy's tend to be possessive like he is.  No
handler aggression, but a couple will not tolerate a correction from a
stranger (the dam also figures into this with these two pups).
Puppies are being worked in obedience (AKC), SAR (cadaver), schutzhund, &
family companions/protection-many of them live with kids & are great with them.

Their dams are not from fast maturing lines-one is normal for maturity &
the other was extremely slow maturing herself (didn't come into herself in
protection & show what I wanted to see until 3yr) a few of the puppies have
been *very* early maturing, & some are normal perhaps a bit faster than
normal  (in one litter the fear period that if seen is normally at 6-7
months came at  5 months), & one is slow to mature like her dam was.
